Riker Lynch is an award-winning director, actor, and multi-talented creative known for his dynamic storytelling and global work in entertainment. While many recognize him from his early success in music (R5, The Driver Era) and television (Glee, Dancing with the Stars), Riker has firmly established himself in the world of filmmaking with a distinctive voice and a passion for genre-bending narratives.
In 2023, Riker made a bold entrance into the independent film scene with his breakout short film Aliens on Halloween, a sci-fi comedy that blends nostalgic Americana with unexpected extraterrestrial twists. The film was praised for its sharp direction, imaginative production design, and clever storytelling. It earned more than a dozen festival honors, including Best Sci-fi Short at the French Riviera Film Festival, 1st Place at the McMinnville Sci-Fi Film Festival, and a Remi Gold Award at WorldFest-Houston, and Riker was named Best Actor in a Comedy at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. It was also included at Festival de Cannes as part of the short film corner.
Riker followed with his debut feature, Stakeout, an action comedy he wrote, directed, and stars in. When a suspicious boyfriend enlists his wannabe-detective best friend for a DIY stakeout, the pair stumble onto a dangerous secret that puts them in way over their heads. The film has already been recognized by both the IndieFEST Film Awards and the Accolade Global Film Competition, earning Award of Excellence Special Mentions (Top 10) from each. Riker received Awards of Excellence for Leading Actor, Direction, and Writing at IndieFEST, and for Leading Actor and Direction at Accolade, with the film’s cast and crew also honored for supporting performances, cinematography, and original score.
